School Salute From Home Revealed

The local homebuilder's promotion built around middle and high school students' musical
performances of the national anthem concludes with the announcement of the final three winners

Fulton Homes, Arizona's largest family-owned and -operated homebuilder, today announced its tenth and final group of winners for the Fulton Homes School Salute From Home 2020-2021 school year.

The program is designed to recognize musicians in grades 6-12 for their hard work and dedication to their performances. Students have submitted their own rendition pf "The Star-Spangled Banner" to 94.5 KOOL FM for consideration, and weekly winners receive $250 to aid their education in music.

"These final three winners represent the type of range and talent we've had over the course of a challenging school year," said Fulton Homes CEO Doug Fulton. "We are pleased to be a small part of their musical tutelage."

May's first winner is Sadie Benavidez from Arizona School for the Arts. She takes classes to advance her studies in theater. Sadie plans to enroll in chamber choir next year as a freshman in high school. Currently, she participates in community theater and Arizona Girlchoir, and is also involved in Girl Scouts and National Charity League. To watch Sadie's performance, click here.

The second winner is Everardo Santana, a sophomore at Trevor G. Browne High School in Phoenix. After joining the band to play the trumpet in his freshman year, Everardo soon transitioned to learn the sousaphone, which has a larger mouthpiece. He currently participates in marching band and would like to join jazz band as well. To watch his performance, click here.

May's third winner is Baker Rosas, a freshman from Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale. He has played the trumpet for five years, and most enjoys performing with other talented musicians. Baker participates in the school's wind ensemble as well as jazz band, and also hopes to join the marching band. He is interested in becoming an engineer after high school. Concluding its 10th consecutive year, the Fulton Homes School Salute From Home ran from August 2020 to May 2021, and listeners of 94.5 KOOL FM were treated every day at noon to national anthem performances from that particular week's winner. To catch up on winners, click here.
